[Peace-discuss] Taliban responds to US/NATO invasion

They issued the following statement;

"...the simple and principled pursuit of liberty and opportunity shamed 
those who relied on the power of tanks and arms to put down the will of 
a people..."

Oops, no: that was BHO describing the shaming of the Russians who moved 
into Czechoslovakia 40 years ago (killing far fewer people that the 
US/NATO have killed in Afghanistan).

"We are helping the Afghan people take responsibility for their future," 
said Obama today, in a wonderful bit of colonialist persiflage.

Of course, the Russians could have said -- did say -- the same thing 
about the Czechs 40 years ago...
