We KNOW that unions result in improved working conditions for the workers
and their families, Ricky. The problem is that most American employers (and
the politicians they own) aren't particularly interested in creating
workplaces that are more family-friendly. That's why union-busting has been
so popular for the past 30 years, and jobs have been exported in the literal
millions to countries with non-union labor. So who is supposed to be
convinced by this argument? I'd say it's an extreme example of preaching to
the choir....unless the study goes on to demonstrate that more
family-friendly workplaces are also more profitable for the employer and the
stockholders.
