[Peace-discuss] Biden Warns of More Lies in Afghanistan

It is not just about oil; it is also about the strategic placement of  
bases near/around Russia, China, Pakistan, India, …, imagined as  
future antagonists. Moreover, in that future, "we" may well need mid- 
eastern oil; moreover, "our" oil companies like our military to  
protect them from "nationalistic" governments which might want to  
better control their own resources.  --mkb
