I think you can argue that, in 21st century English, "dikaiosynē" should be 
translated "justice."

"Righteousness" (although used recently to describe e.g. the output of some rock 
bands) is an English technical term in 16th-century Christian theology.  It can 
in fact be said to be the theological point at the heart of the Reformation, but 
to a modern ear it simply sounds archaic -- or, worse, arch.  --CGE
