Hi peace-discuss,

Ironweed Films is an independent film company that makes films on
progressive issues, including "Soldiers of Conscience" about IVAW who
resisted war.

Ironweed now has a subscription service where you get monthly releases
and you then own the DVDs.

I just thought I would share this information with you.

Cast aside corporate-owned media and stay informed with independent film.

Dear IVAW Supporter,

I want to let you know about a special partnership Iraq Veterans
Against the War has established with Ironweed Films. Each month, our
friends at Ironweed Films DVD Club put together an inspiring volume of
documentary films curated around an important, progressive theme. A
recent selection, Soldiers of Conscience, featured IVAW members who
have resisted war.

Since their start in 2005, Ironweed has given back to countless
progressive non-profits and businesses alike, such as Air America,
Common Cause, NORML, Breast Cancer Action, and now IVAW.

Please consider a free trial to Ironweed, which will support
independent filmmaking and the causes we believe in.

Peace,

Amadee Braxton
Director of Development
Iraq Veterans Against the War

Every year, thousands of amazing independent films get made that
you'll never see. That's why we started Ironweed: a monthly DVD
subscription film club.

At Ironweed, we seek out the provocative, entertaining and important
human stories that you won't find at your local chain video store and
deliver them right to your door.

Ironweed is like a film festival on DVD. Each monthly selection
includes a feature and several short films curated around a thought
provoking theme.

The DVDs are yours to keep. You never have to send anything back!

With Ironweed, you'll be able to meet the fearless filmmakers behind
the camera in our blog entries and DVD inserts.

Across the country, Ironweed members are getting together with friends
and family and forming their own monthly film clubs. Support
independent filmmakers by subscribing to Ironweed today.

War Made Easy
* Based on the best-selling book of the same title, this chilling,
fast-moving, impeccably researched film exposes the many strategies
used by administrations, both Democratic and Republican, to promote
their agendas for war from Vietnam to Iraq.

Bases are Loaded
*Official policy promises an eventual departure, but this shocking,
well-documented film presents compelling evidence that hundreds of
military bases in Iraq are being consolidated into a handful of
seemingly permanent, lavishly appointed "mega-bases"

Flight
*This exquisitely animated short condenses the history of aviation
from humankind's innocent dream of flying through the nightmare of
flight's darker consequences.
