[Peace-discuss] my generation is under-represented in the peace movement

Who are you calling middle aged??? ;-)

I think middle agers have less time to go to meetings and protests, kids and such, but a vast majority of my friends are anti war. They write letters, they speak to their elected officals, they get into heated FB arguments with people about politics, they turn down jobs for the government, they give money to peace organizations and pay attention to where their money is invested.

Don't write a whole generation off.

Peace Discuss,

I was noticing how few middle aged people there are in the peace movement.

Lots of people who lived through WWII and Korea and Vietnam.
Lots of young people on campus.

Is it because my generation never really was affected by formal war?
We may not even have recognized the underhanded wars and deadly sanctions.
