The thing that gets me is that this Vietnam Vet guy and his wife think
they found an irrefutable argument for their side, because my jaw
dropped and I was flabbergasted. So they walked away all pleased with
themselves.

In reality, I had not heard adults say things like that for quite
awhile. And it was taking me a few seconds to even begin to see where
along the path to enlightenment they had veered off. Then I had to
sort through all the things that I could say but should not because
those ideas would be too evolved for them to grasp.

Ooops. Sometimes I am tempted to think this myself. Grrr. (I am
