You have to admit, though, that the NYT picture was great.

Look how neatly someone printed, "WE HATE AMERICA" on that protest
sign. I mean, we've all made signs for protests. I think it would take
me about an hour to produce a sign on which "WE HATE AMERICA" was
printed so neatly, if I could do it at all. Someone went to a lot of
trouble to make that sign so that Americans would have no trouble
reading it. It's kind of touching.
