Correction:  Tim Johnson has not been voting against any war.  He has 
been voting against almost all appropriation bills, apparently in quest of 
a reputation as a "deficit hawk." (See News-Gazette, 10/30/10, p. B-1, 
col. 5).

There is no indication whatever that he has had a road-to-Damascus 
conversion experience about the war or has taken a principled stand 
against it, as Gill increasingly has.  

Sounds like it's time for a little colloquy on sophistic casuistry & the 
doctrine of double effect.
