The "Iran Threat Reduction Act" is scheduled to be on the House floor
Tuesday under "suspension," meaning it would need a super-majority to pass.

NIAC has established a toll-free number for calling the House: *

*
Please call Rep. Johnson and ask him to vote no on
H.R.1905<https://secure3.convio.net/niac/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=7687&security=1&news_iv_ctrl=-1>,
the "Iran Threat Reduction Act."

Among other outrageous things, the bill would prohibit contact between U.S.
diplomats and Iranian officials deemed to be a "threat," which is totally
opposite to the idea that you should try to solve problems by means other
than violence.

Our e-alert on this is here:

 Dear Robert,

Things are moving very quickly in the wrong direction.

The House is voting tomorrow to make sanctions even more indiscriminate and
war more likely. They are voting to sanction Iran's central bank, to make
Iranian civilian flights more dangerous, and to place legal restrictions on
diplomacy.

Time to take action still exists, but not
much<http://www.niacouncil.org/site/R?i=zTcjUiFd7M8hLKhDQ3xYfg>
.

A array of recent reports, articles and analysis in the media leaves no
doubt that we are very close to confrontation. Debate on this issue has
devolved from whether or not we should go to war with Iran, to whether
Israel will let us know beforehand if they decide to attack. The tone of
the GOP primaries further paints the two sides in their corners - allowing
less and less maneuverability to move in the right direction.

The articles below report on the escalating intensity and speed of recent
developments and offer sobering analysis of what lies ahead:
