[Peace-discuss] Would AWARE like to invite Kathy Kelly to doanother event while she's here, 2/18-19?

I would certainly agree with Kathy Kelly that any one who pays the federal 
income tax is undeniably an accomplice to murder and worse.

However, if I had the opportunity, I would want to ask her if non-violence 
ended the Vietnam War.

Since she seems to approach the matter of pacifism from the standpoint of 
Christian theology, I would ask if Jesus drove the "thieves" from the temple 
with logic and pacifist rhetoric.  I would also seek an explanation of 
Matthew 11.12 and Psalm 137.9  .

History seems to say that it was the INA that broke the back of British 
resolve in India, not the methods of Gandhi (alone?).  Perhaps the message 
of Peace is most effective when served up with a side order of explosives 
and incendiary devices and a open can of fresh whup-ass?
