[Peace-discuss] floodgates are open on Afghanistan withdrawal

Rose colored glasses? It's good to see Lugar and Durbin calling for withdrawal, but they don't count for much in D.C..
I would take anything coming from the WP with a large grain of salt.
We shall see what the U.S. demands for any withdrawal of (some) forces from Afghanistan. How about the bases?
We are now there for geopolitical reasons, not for Al Queda, etc. etc. etc. Only if the powers see obvious defeat (never to be openly admitted) will withdrawal be likely, or if the business/corporate world turns against our policies.

We have a ugly, murderous, and corrupt, hypocritical government, not to speak of its supporters.
