[Peace-discuss] A very Amerikan interpretation of capitalism and capitalist enterpeneurial risk taking

So much for the old Capitalist notions of the “profitability of investment returns” being based on such factors as the amount of risk involved, supply and demand in a free competitive marketplace, etc.  Not only do they insist on a guarantee of 90% occupancy but also on a 20 year contract, which probably would be an exclusive contract given the requirement of 90% occupancy. Where is the entrepreneurial spirit of taking risks and being competitive in a free market environment where success and profit is based on meeting existing and future supply and demand for the service from one’s customer base? Where is the risk; where is the competition; and where is fair trade (the three cornerstones of theoretical, non-monopolistic Capitalism?
