Robert,

I wanted to pass along this message from J Street U student Lauren Donoghue
about an amazing opportunity for you or an undergrad you may know. Make
sure to forward this to anyone you think might be interested in coming to
Israel with J Street U, for free!

Hi. My name is Lauren Donoghue, sophomore at the University of North
Carolina and co-chair of J Street U South/South-East region.

This year, I will be voting in my first Presidential election. As I
consider the choice that I will be asked to make in November, I am thinking
about what kind of country I want America to be in the world. Will we be a
country that harnesses its power and influence to bring about a more
peaceful and just world? Or will we be a country that reacts to the great
challenges of our time with a collective shrug?

When it comes to Israel, will we choose imagination and possibility, or
resign ourselves to despair? Will we lead, or will we be led?

After traveling to Israel for the first time last summer on J Street U's
student delegation, I know the choice that I will make and why it is so
important to take action. On that trip, I had the great honor to engage
with people on all sides of the conflict advancing a solution that would
allow both peoples to live in security, freedom, and dignity. Throughout
Israel I met politicians, security personnel, and activists working for a
better, stronger Israel. In the West Bank I met Palestinian families and
lawyers working to build civil society and a future state for their people.

*I encourage you to experience it for yourself with Engage With Israel:
Peace, Democracy and Social
Justice.<http://salsa.wiredforchange.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=zbSnvc8upiSBz3ulfS3L4CuKGVkG9uaW>
*

My time in Israel left me inspired and hopeful and with a clear sense of
the choices we have to make here at home to move our leaders to action.

The J Street U student leadership made me more hopeful and dedicated. It is
my great privilege to invite you to experience this transformative change
as well.

*Apply here for the second annual J Street U student leadership trip to
Israel and the West Bank-- Sunday, June 3rd to Thursday, June
14th.<http://salsa.wiredforchange.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=upinUbSPm8wioysOAqi%2BKSuKGVkG9uaW>
*

And thanks to our amazing supporters, the entire experience will be *free
of charge*.

Even if you're not a student, you can encourage others to apply! Make sure
to pass this along to any current undergraduate you know who might be
interested.

To learn more about the trip, watch this short 8 minute
film<http://salsa.wiredforchange.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=SoeU2Ceit9mU0t7g5XulWyuKGVkG9uaW>documenting
our time last year. Applications are open to all undergrads
enrolled in 2012-2013.

I could write so much more about my experience on the trip. But it cannot
do justice to the power of my time with J Street U in Israel. *I invite you
to experience this amazing trip for yourself by applying for J Street U's
second annual trip to Israel -- Engage with Israel: Peace Democracy, and
Social Justice<http://salsa.wiredforchange.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=vATKhPYsBO2KweFQqqTBmCuKGVkG9uaW>
*. I know that you'll return inspired to work, alongside me and so many
others, to transform our politics and bring about the chaneg we need on
this crucial issue.

Thanks,
Lauren Donoghue
