Suzanne Nossel, the protege of Hillary Clinton, who installed her as
Executive Director of Amnesty Int'l USA, was on Democracy Now! this
morning to deplore the international arms trade. She condemned the
Russian transfer of arms to the Syrian government, but curiously
omitted the US-sponsored transfer of arms to the other side by Saudi
Arabia and Qatar.

Nossel seems to have been Clinton's instrument in arranging the UN
cover for the NATO attack on Libya (including Obama's illegal cruise
missile attack). Clinton had to withdraw a charge about Russian
helicopters to Syria last week, but it's obvious that the US is
working towards a Libya-like intervention in that country.

Nossel's AI - which at the Chicago anti-NATO protests was providing an
alternative event (featuring Madeleine Albright as a speaker)
justifying the US/NATO occupation of Afghanistan on the basis that it
was protecting women's rights - is supporting the State Department's
war plans. --CGE
