Kucinich and Conyers have initiated a letter to President Obama
pressing the Administration to give more information to Congress about
its drone strike policy, particularly concerning civilian casualties
and so-called "signature strikes" that target unknown people. There
are currently 17 signers, including Rep. Ron Paul.

As you may no doubt be aware, there is some increased awareness around
this issue right now as a result of the NYT expose last week which
reported that "military age males" killed by drone strikes are being
counted as "combatants."

I am hopeful that if Tim's office gets a few calls from
Champaign-Urbana, they will sign the letter, as they have supported
similar initiatives in the past.

The direct number to Tim's office is 202-225-2371.

Calling would be best, but if you want to write instead, you can do that here:

The letter is here:

Combat Drone Program

Current signers: Dennis Kucinich, John Conyers, Rush Holt, Jesse
Jackson, Jr., Maurice Hinchey, Charlie Rangel, Pete Stark, Mike Honda,
Raul Grijalva, Bob Filner, Barbara Lee, Jim McGovern, Lynn Woolsey,
Hank Johnson, Luis Gutierrez, Ron Paul, John Lewis.

There is a companion NGO letter, initiated by CIVIC and Amnesty International:
