There is some free health care but I registered as a
Chinese with my Chinese name and paid the standard Chinese rate.
The problem with statistics in China is that there is a
gigantic underground economy.
People making 10,000 rmb per month report 3000 per month because
at that rate there is no tax. People making 20-30K per month
typically report 6K.
The US could make a lot more doctors for the same cost. The
supply is kept low by design to ensure very cushy salaries for doctors.
