Yesterday I had my passport out to show a young trainee that
I was actually an Amerikan citizen.  Riding on the #6 bus
in Zhongguancun (Beijing's electronics tech area) i
read in surreal Capital letters at the top of the 1st page:

    THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE,
    SHALL NOT PERISH FROM THE EARTH.

It's not like reading 1984 interpolating some Philip K. Dick story,
Shelley, Ginsberg, Benet, Proctor, and Dylan's Tarantula.
It's like living it.
