[Peace-discuss] Manning case

Bradley Manning is a soldier.   If you are a soldier,
your ass belongs to the armed forces.

I dont believe that he aided the Enemy unless one
considers the Amerikan people to be the enemy
(and that is a option, it seems).

However, when you sign up to be a soldier, you
sign up to be a killing machine nothing less or more.
The military cannot tolerate having soldiers that
practice rebellion.

Rebellion among soldiers is common enough but if
they fail to overturn their masters, the punishment
is always severe.

I think Manning is a Hero.  He will go to jail
in all likelyhood.  We can hope that some honorable
people will be elected who will spring him from the slammer.

Saying that jail time for Manning will curtail
reporting is not exactly correct.
The CIA-like barbecuing of that reporter guy in California might.

They can't exactly come after civilians in quite the same way
as they can soldiers.  Manning is government property.

You and I are not, even though they want to act we are.

On a positive note, I saw that Glenn Greenwald will testify
before Congress.  That should be interesting.

The backlash from the Dreyfus-like treatment of
Snowden, Manning, Assange may harm the Obamites yet.

Couldnt happen to a better bunch of SOB's.
