Only in the sense that trying to get Carl to condemn an obviously antisemitic incident that his blinkered and dazzlingly narrow ideology simply does not permit him to directly acknowledge one molecule of, lest he be visited in the night by Cockburn's vengeful ghost, is like bidding a corpse to speak.
