[Peace-discuss] AWARE, or AWARE + Green Party, at 4th of July parade?

Hello all,

We'd talked about having an AWARE contingent, or maybe an AWARE + local 
Green Party contingent, in the 4th of July parade.

We have *until June 20th* to submit an application if we want to do 
this.    What's up?   I haven't heard any further talk about this since 
a couple weeks ago, but have missed some meetings.

*Has there been any discussion among the Greens?    Can the question be 
on the agenda for the Green meeting tomorrow?

The parade theme this year is ripe for ironic readings:
*Flying High for Freedom

Meg Miner did generously offer the use of her trailer if we wish, though 
we'd have to find our own trailer-hitched vehicle to bring it to/from 
C-U and drive it in the parade.

Alternatively we can go with marchers carrying signs, and maybe a banner 
or two, with no float.   (I'd vote for the latter, for simplicity, but 
we should talk about this so that we can let Meg know whether we'd like 
to accept her offer to use her trailer.)

Most important now: work out *who is participating* and *pick a theme or 
two*. That will make it possible to write the application, assuming 
there's enough interest that we can pull it off this year.
