[Peace-discuss] Piketty reading group - Wednesday May 27, at 5:30pm

Members & friends of AWARE are invited to this Wednesday evening’s meeting of a group reading Thomas Piketty’s “Capital in the Twenty-First Century.”

The group will convene at 5:30pm at 5 Litchfield Lane in Champaign, Wednesday 27 May

Reading for this week is chapter 3, “The Metamorphoses of Capital,” and chapter 4, “From Old Europe to the New World” (which includes sections on "The Importance of Slavery” and "Slave Capital and Human Capital” - perhaps of particular interest to those in an earlier AWARE reading group).
