Tomorrow night (Thursday night) at 9pm, another independent documentary on
WILL-TV (your public TV station):

"Promises"

Three filmmakers traveled to Jerusalem to ask children what they thought
about war and peace in the Middle East. The film is a prescient account of
the bitter and historically complex struggle from the point of view of those
who will inherit it. At first, the children repeat the ingrained attitudes
of their elders, with the surprising candor and insight that young people
often bring to descriptions of adult affairs. As in the adult world, the
children's thinking -- and their hopes for a more peaceful future -- seem to
be at an impassee. Then the story takes a surprising turn when some of the
children, who have shown growing curiosity about each other, decide to cross
the checkpoints to meet in person.

"Promises" will be repeated at 3am Friday morning and again at 1am on Sunday
for vcr taping and late night folks.

p.s. If anybody missed "Good Kurds, Bad Kurds," an independent documentary
featuring U.S. support of Turkey's murder of its Kurdish population, it will
be repeated at 4am on Sunday.
