Join L.A.W. for the busiest shopping day of the year!

Because of the many people who can't protest during the week but who can
on Saturday, and because of the crowds of Christmas shoppers, we're going
to be going to Prospect on Saturdays, from 12:30 to 1:30!! (NOTE NEW
TIME)!

Please join us on Prospect Avenue on the overpass, where the exit from I-74
meets Prospect, to hold up banners and meet our neighbors.

If you need a ride from Urbana, meet at the School for Designing a Society
at 12:15 pm.

If you can go there directly, park at Loewe's or in some big
lot---BE CAREFUL NOT TO SHOW that you're carrying peace signs as
you leave your car. At yesterday's protest some warmongering guys took the
air out of the tires of Mark Enslin's van, after seeing a bunch of
protesters get out of it. He had parked at the Chinese restaurant on Marketview.

We have banners, but you can make your own. Our idea is to consider these
banners an 'alternative newspaper'---news the media is actively and
DELIBERATELY preventing our neighbors from seeing. No wonder they think as
they do. Some ideas:
GOVT IS USING TERRORISM, WE WANT TO STOP TERRORISM
HAS BOMBING MADE YOU FEEL SAFE??
IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY?
LOSS OF CIVIL RIGHTS WONT GAIN SECURITY
WILL BOMBING WILL STOP TERRORISM?
BOMBING WILL NOT BRING SAFETY
BOMB< STARVATION--IS THIS WHAT WE WANT???

Susan.
