Radhika Subramaniam is the Executive Editor of 'CONNECT: Art. 
Politics. Theory. Practice'. She received her Ph.D. (Performance 
Studies) in 1998 from New York University. Her thesis, "The Crowd in 
Bombay," was a study of the 1992-93 Bombay riots that followed the 
demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. Subramaniam's publications 
include 'Remembering Toba Tek Singh (An Introduction to the work of 
Nalini Malani)', (2002) Connect 4, Special issue,'The Wall'; 'Urban 
Physiognomies' (2002) Sarai Reader 02, Delhi: Sarai: The New Media 
Initiative; 'Culture of Suspicion: Riots and Rumor, Bombay, 
1992-1993' (1999) Transforming Anthropology. Volume 8, Nos.1 and 2. 
Theme Issue: States of Violence/The Violence of Status. Edited by 
Allen Feldman.

6th December 2002 marks the tenth anniversary of the demolition of 
the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, India.
