[Dr. Sabri Samirah obtained his B.Sc. from the
University of Jordan; MA in Economics from DePaul
University, and Ph.D. in Public Policy
Analysis/Political Science from the University of
Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

Dr. Sabri has conducted field research on affairs of
religious and ethnic minorities, especially Muslims
and Arabs, and presented papers in academic
conferences.

Dr. Sabri is a founder president for the first local
political organisation for the Muslim community in
Greater Chicago, the United Muslim Americans
Association (UMAA).

UMAA is a local grassroots organization dedicated
to politically empower and represent interests of
450,000 Muslim Americans in Illinois and Greater
Chicago in shaping American public policy, while
promoting justice, ethics and Islamic values in public
life.
