I am writing to let you know that the School for Designing a Society is
cancelling their event this evening, tuesday, Nov. 12th at the AACP,
because we have been informed of another event happening at the same
time, which we feel is much more important at this time. Had we found out
sooner, we certainly would have let you know in advance.

Still, in the interests of Education for Liberation, we encourage
everyone to attend Fred Hampton, Jr. speaking on COINTELPRO, Hip Hop and
Political Activism. My uncle was involved with Fred Hampton, Sr. in 1968,
and has repeatedly made it clear to me that Fred Hampton was one of the
most amazing leaders of his lifetime, possibly even the best human being
that he has known. The government murder of Fred Hampton was one of the
most devestating blows to the movement for freedom in america in the last
fifty years.

It is extremely encouraging to see Fred Hampton, Jr. carrying on his
father's important message of determined, disciplined, revolutionary
struggle.

Fred Hampton, Jr. will be speaking at 7 P.M. at 217 Noyes Lab, tonight,
Nov. 12th. This event is brought to you by Men of Impact.
