RE: Departure Rally for CU group traveling to
Washington DC to join national march against war with
Iraq.

Date: Friday, October 25th from 10:00-10:30 AM.

Location: UI Union drive through

Summary: Over 50 CU area residents are caravanning to
Washington DC to join an October 26th national protest
against the Bush administration waging war on Iraq.
The DC event will almost certainly be the largest
protest of its kind to date in the U.S. over the
current crisis. CU area residents traveling to the
event and other supporters will be staging a departure
rally from the UI Union drive through on Friday,
October 25th from 10:00-10:30 AM. During the short
rally the vans will be decorated to promote a peace
and anti-war message. The event is sponsored by UI
Student Peace Action and AWARE (Anti-war Anti-racism
effort), a CU area community group that opposes war
with Iraq).
