[Dr. Mujahid Alfayadh is Imam and Mosque Director at CIMIC.  He has received Islamic education from academic institutions in Iraq and Yemen.  He has carried out Islamic work in the Middle East, South East Asia, and the United States.

Dr. Alfayadh, is an alumni of UIUC, with doctoral degree in Food Science.  He has taught in his area of expertise.  His recent interests have involved study of Islamic guidelines on food and human nutrition vis a vis evolving scientific research.  

Dr. Alfayadh is ex-officio member of the CIMIC Board of Directors; Coordinator of Ibadaat Committee; and member of Da'wah (Outreach) Committee.  He also serves on the committee of Religious Workers Association of East Central Illinois.  He is a regular speaker at number of college campuses, religious groups, national conferences, broadcast media, and interfaith forums.  At CIMIC he leads regular prayers, delivers Friday Khutaba (sermon), and teaches Qur'an and Islamic studies at the CIMIC Weekend Islamic School.
