Terrorism by Whom?
The U.S. has launched a so-called "war on terrorism" to justify military
attacks throughout the world and suspension of civil rights within our own
country. Although claims that many nations are training or supporting
terrorists are accurate U.S. authorities conveniently ignore U.S. actions at
the infamous "School of the America's" recently renamed "Western Hemisphere
Institute for Security Cooperation" and it European counterpart. Sr. Kathleen
Desautels who has the courage to do what is right for God's children is in
jail because she chose to stand up against U.S. terrorism. GOD BLESS HER!!!
Somehow U.S. authorities still choose to ignore dozens of known domestic
terrorist groups who have used explosives, biological, and chemical weapons
on U.S. citizens over the last couple of decades. Somehow, U.S. military,
CIA, and FBI efforts to overthrow governments who refuse to comply with U.S
demands and to restrict civil rights in our nation are not ignored. Why has
the willful use of depleted uranium munitions "America's own dirty bomb" by
the U.S. military resulting in devastating health and environmental effects
in Vieques, Puerto Rico; Iraq; Okinawa; the Balkans; and other areas of our
country and world been ignored? Why has the fact that the U.S. gave Iraq the
weapons of mass destruction it used against Iran, Iraqi Kurds, and U.S.
military personnel been ignored? If U.S. officials have any real intent of
stopping terrorism and threats to world peace then the double standard of
ignoring U.S. actions while holding others accountable must end. And as we
all pray during Mass "PEACE BE WITH YOU". But peace will only be achieved
through our own actions and only if we hold all nations, leaders, and
individuals accountable for their harmful actions.
