	The following is the final schedule for the January 29th
Alternative Education program sponsored by Student Peace Action. Thanks
to all for your support!

Banner: "Lincoln Hall Under Peace. Enter to Oppose the War"

9am -
Beginning of gathering on quad side of Lincoln. Schedules and hot
chocolate will be served.

10am -

Rm 140 Lincoln - Professors Cynthia Radding, Nils Jacobsen, and
Joseph Love: "Wars in Latin America: Instant Suffering and Long Term
Consequences."

Rm 130 Lincoln - Professor David Reodiger: "History and the
Re-imagining of the Peace Movement."  John Marsh: "Humanitarianism and
Anti-Imperialism: Building a Decent Anti-War Movement."


11am -

Lunch - Lunch will be served in the Lincoln Hall foyer. Meanwhile, the
School for Designing a Society (SDAS) will provide activist oriented
entertainment.

12pm -

Rally/March - Student Peace Action will be sponsoring a rally on the South
Patio of the Illini Union. The rally will be followed by a march back to
Lincoln Hall, where the alternative agenda will continue.

1pm -

Rm 106 Lincoln - Professors Jim Barrett and Mark Leff: "Bringing the War
Home: Historical Perspectives on Campus Anti-war Movements."

*Rm. 336 Lincoln - Professor Michael Goldman. Doors open to Sociology
347: "Environmental Sociology."

2pm -

Rm 300 Lincoln - Professor Carl Estabrook: "Israel's Role in the U.S.
Attack on Iraq."

*Rm. 398 Lincoln - Professors Daniel Schneider and Rachel Shurman: "War
and
the Environment." (Must read course packet materials, available at our

Rm 110 Lincoln - Professor Francis Boyle: "A Legalist Approach to Opposing
War on Iraq: Impeaching the President."

Rm 102 Lincoln - Professor David Prochaska: "A 12-Point Recovery Plan."

4pm -

Rm 110 Lincoln - Belden Fields: "Socialist Reflections on the U.S., Iraq,
and Venezuela."

Rm. 102 Lincoln - Professor Robert McKim: "Reflections on the Current
Situation."

4:30pm- 5:50pm

*Rm. 302 Lincoln - Professor Michael Goldman. Doors open to Sociology 274:
"Social Impacts of Globalization."

6pm

Rm 145 Lincoln - Meeting to re-cap on day's events and to plan the next
major action. All invited!

7pm

Illini Union Pine Lounge - Illinois Student Government (ISG) will debate
an anti-war resolution. We are asking people to attend this segment so as
to voice their opnion on the relevance of anti-war resolutions to campus
governance. Note: the recolution is not scheduled to be voten on until the
following week.


* - The asterisks denote limited seating. These classes are normally
scheduled classes that the instructors have opened to the public in order
to participate in our event. The topics discussed in class will be
relevant to the theme of "Peace, Social Justice, and Political
Emancipation."
