here in milwaukee, the anti war marches and lock down in front of the army recruiting center organized by radio piratas and pissed off youth this weekend proved an unexpected success and igniting point for future actions. we shut down the office within an hour of being there and managed not to get arrested. the beauty of consensus process shines through when your arms are locked to your comrades in pvc pipe and you can only get so close and have elected a police liason to carry messages back to red neck cops who have to wait at least 20 min for our conferd upon decisions.
we stated that we were not only acting in opposition to the war on iraq  but all forms of violence and especially its use for economic gain - that we are in complete disagreement with the entire system of abuse under wich this country operates and was founded on  and through exercising our right to civil disobedience and peaceful assembly with the intention of educating ourselves and others about alternatives to violent conflict resolution we would not leave untill we came up with  some definat plans to manifest a world where dignity freedom and justice still exist. our demands we sang and screamed;!clean water, freash air, deccent food , meaningful work, no war! people got out of their cars and joined jugglers and drummers street theater machines  stilters tallbikers ministers and punks, people with stories of riding through contries on horses without border bullshit, living in trees, leaving the army.
now we are meeting together making art and seed trays and having challenging yet somehow comforting conversations -we are the riverwest free state  we have just enough time to sprout and come spring the toxic vacant lots will be ours to raise garden beds and living articulations of our dreams. we are in the belly of the beast born into this monster; capitalism, "democracy" here everything is a lie, this gooey language wich makes it so easy to remain undecided and deceptive. our generation has no time for reforms, i desire masses of people seceeding creating free states in what ever way possible
