   WHAT is it?   an interactive, experiential museum based on diversity
                 education

   WHEN is it?   October 12-15, 19-22, 26-29  from 5-9pm daily with tours
                 leaving every half hour

   WHERE is it?  the basement of the McKinley Church @ 809 Fifth St in
                 Champaign (Corner of 5th and John)

   WHAT have others said about the program?  "This should be mandatory for
                 everyone!"  "Eye opening!"  "Thought provoking"  "It
                 brings reality to the forefront"

Fighting Discrimination and Racial Profiling:
Discussion Panel and Activism Workshop
October 18, 2003

213 Greg Hall, UIUC campus


Speakers will discuss methods of activism and what is going on in
the present as well as what has been effective in the past.  There will
also be a focus on how audience members can become involved and a
breakaway brainstorming session afterwards where attendees can engage with
the speakers in depth.  The aim of this event is empowerment for those
attending to actively promote change.

Speakers include:
Arsalan T. Iftikhar is the Director of Legal Affairs for the Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Washington, DC.  He will be speaking
on the topic of Fighting Discrimination and Racial Profiling with an
emphasis on activism with tips and instructions for how students, faculty,
and staff can also carry on this mission.

Professor Rajmohan Gandhi visiting professor at the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign in the program of South Asian and Middle Eastern
Studies.  He will be speaking on issues of tolerance.

Carl Estabrook  is a visiting professor of history, religious studies, and
sociology  at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He will be
speaking on a historical perspective of discrimination.
