Begin forwarded message: Dear friends and comrades,

I know that there is a lot going on next Saturday, but I am
urging to to come to the forum on "After the Split" on Saturday the
22nd from 10 to 3. The flier for this event is attached. We are
particularly fortunate to have Adolph Reed deliver the keynote.
Adolph is one of the founders of the Labor Party, a contributor to
progressive publications such as the Nation and the Progressive, and
a professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania--
one of the few African-American, as well as one of the few clearly
left-wing, professors of political science in the Ivy League. The
other participants are also very interesting and include trade union
activists who have been part of the movement that got the AFL-CIO to
take an anti-Iraq war position at the last AFL-CIO conference. The
issue here is how the left can work with and within the labor
movement to direct it in a really progressive direction. Please come
to this event and participate. And, yes, Charlie Brown, there is
such a thing as a free lunch. It awaits you on Saturday.
In solidarity,
Belden Fields
