The Champaign County Coalition for Citizen Police
Review is proud to announce that we have been so
productive lately that we do not have to meet on the
third Tuesday of this month as we usually would.

The Urbana City Council voted last Tuesday night to
establish a task force, based largely on people we
recommended, charged with exploring the possibility of
civilian oversight of police in Urbana. And the best
part is, the task force has exactly four months to
complete this task and report to the City Council.
Things are moving fast, folks!

Also at the last meeting, we decided to change our
meeting time to 6pm on the second Wednesday of every
month to avoid conflict with the Champaign City
Council meetings. At least one Champaign City Council
member has expressed interest in coming to our
meetings if there were no time conflict. Cool.

So the next meeting will be Wed. Oct 12 at 6pm.
