The Prince Myshkins are Rick Burkhardt and Andy Gricevich. Rick plays accordion and sings; Andy plays guitar and sings. Together they produce experimental music, songs, poems, and theater. As the modern folk duo The Prince Myshkins, they have composed songs on the subjects of war, economics, sexuality, medicine, and contemporary politics. Rick and Andy both studied at the University of Illinois and are now living and working somewhere between San Diego, California and Madison, Wisconsin. In their seven years in San Diego they worked to make their own material obsolete by appearing locally as KPBS San Diego’s resident satirists, and by touring nationally to sing at antiwar demonstrations, union rallies, schools, coffeehouses, living rooms, community centers and major urban intersections. www.princemyshkins.com
