Sunday October 29th
I. Darfur Discussion
   1. Film series: November 1st: Darfur Diaries Channing Murray at 7pm
                   November 8th: The Lost Boys of Sudan featuring Peter
Makuach, a Sudanese refugee Illini Union Rooms ABC 7pm
                   November 15th: Hotel Rwanda McKinley Foundation 7pm
   2. Divestment Campaign- The U of I group Action Darfur is working on
getting the University to stop supporting corporations which are making
money in Sudan at the expense of the people (there is a list of which
ones do so). Concrete way to impact region.
   3. Action Darfur supports a UN force --> discussion about why not give
support to African Union rather than bring in a Western militia, even
if it is a peacekeeping force. Action Darfur rep.s said want to see an
international coalition of countries.

II. Working Groups
   1. Financial Report: Balance at $2,396.83
   2. Farmer's Market: Happening this Saturday 11/4 from 9-12. Cancelled
for last Saturday of the season 11/11 due to lack of volunteers and
it's cold.
   3. AwarePresents: Francis Boyle "National Campaign to Impeach Bush"
this Thursday at Urbana City Council Chambers 7pm
   4. Anti-Racism/Courtwatch:
      SMART Act Panel will play on UPTV channel 6 this week
      Tuesday Oct. 31st: Protest on Quad at noon against "Tacos and
Tequila" party
      Tuesday Nov. 21st: Come support Brian Dolinar's address of torture
and suicides in county prisons at the County Board meeting at
Brookens Center (time??)
   5. Counter Recruitment: Big counter-recruitment action at Memorial
Stadium in three weeks
   6. Studnet Groups: Protest went well Saturday, good turnout and media
coverage.

III. Old Business
   1. Will use peace list to notify people of plan of action in reaction
to possible attack on Iran in very near future. Biggest danger of an
attack from now until election day, but the possibility will not go
away after elections.
   2. Indoor Market on Saturdays: will be 9am-2pm each Saturday from 11/18
to 12/16 inside Lincoln Square. We have a 10x10 area reserved next to
toffee lady. It costs $40 per Saturday but $35 taken off since doing
all 5 Saturdays.

IV. New Ideas
   1. Posters- will get 200 free with shipping $10
* Bush Bash this Sunday 11/5 at Channing-Murray 8-11pm
