Greetings friends in Central Illinois,

What do the designer of the Sears Tower, the Director of the National
Institute of Health, and boxing great Muhammad Ali have in common? Besides
being leaders in their fields, they are all Muslims. And are among more
than 8 million of them contributing to the intellectual, economic, and
social fabric of America.

Muslims landed in America long before Columbus and sought ever since ways of
improving their lives and lives of others. Islam indeed encourages seeking
knowledge, creating businesses, engaging in sciences and calls repeatedly
for tolerance, social justice, order and human rights.

One of the missions and goals of the Central Illinios Mosque and Islamic
Center is to help destroy negative myths about Islam and Muslims. We
welcome you to our open house on Sunday September 17th from 2 to 5:30 to
witness Muslim achievement and impact in America.
