On Monday, February 5th from 7pm - 8pm, The Urbana Free Library will participate in the 18th National African American Read-In.  The event, which is sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English, honors the contributions of African American writers and celebrates the joy an importance of reading. 
     
The program will take place in the library’s front reading rooms and will feature community leaders, local  educators, and young people reading brief selections from books by their favorite African American authors.   Come prepared to be entertained, educated
and inspired.
