        National Committee To Free The Cuban Five Bulletin     

    Indiana, Illinois tour for Fernando González  and the Cuban Five is upon us!
                 Dear Indiana friends:   We wrote you recently about the recent transfer of Fernando González, one of the Cuban Five anti-terrorist activists, who is in U.S. prison for defending Cuba from U.S.-sponsored terrorist attack. He is serving a 19-year sentence after being unjustly convicted along with the rest of the Five in Miami in 2001. 
  We write you to invite your participation in one of the events listed below, which will take place in South Bend, Terre Haute, Hanover, and Indianapolis, as well as Chicago, during the coming week. 

In each event we will show the movie, Mission Against Terror, and update you on the legal case and the worldwide campaign for their freedom. 

This case has recently been aired on CNN's Situation Room, published in The New York Times, Washington Post, and broadcast on BBC and Reuters.

Please send this notice to your friends and listserves! The case of the Cuban Five needs to be publicized as widely as possible!

        Leonard Weinglass to speak in Madison, Wisconsin
                 Also this week, on Nov. 11 and 12, Leonard Weinglass, one of the Cuban Five's appeals attorneys, will speak in Madison, Wisconsin on the case of the Cuban Five and its relation to the so-called "War on Terror." He will give an overview of the legal case, in this critical time when a decision on the Five's latest appeals is pending. The events are sponsored by Free the Five Madison Committee and National Lawyers Guild, U.W. Madison Law School chapter.
