I agree with you Carl that the cost of the war is not necessary a convincing argument if it was spent to provide security here in the US or in Iraq. It is not spent to buy freedom and security for Iraquis or Americans.  The irony is that this high cost of war is spent for violence, mischief and destruction as well as insecurity which is leading us to less freedom.
