Two corrections and an addition to yesterday's list of upcoming events:

I had the subject of the CCHCC lawsuit wrong:

Wed 1/16 10:30AM CCHCC offices, 44 Main St., Champaign
(see the building's directory to check which floor)
   Champaign County Health Care Consumers
   ( http://www.healthcareconsumers.org/ )
Press conference on the anti-trust lawsuit brought by the IL Attorney General --
the only such suit in the US to be successful so far -- against Carle
and Christie clinics, for conspiring to limit service to Medicaid patients
who weren't already registered with their clinics. See e.g.
     http://www.ag.state.il.us/pressroom/2007_06/20070614b.html
or
     http://www.healthcareconsumers.org/index.php?action=Display%20Page&id=545

(see also the hearing on Thursday morning below.)

(This is unrelated to the loss of tax-exempt status, for insufficient charitable
activity, of Carle and Provena *Hospitals*; their exemptions were
revoked within the last year or so, and at least Carle Hospital is
suing to regain theirs, but that isn't at issue here.)

Thu 1/17 9:00AM Courtroom "F", Champaign County Courthouse
Hearing on IL Atty General's antitrust lawsuit against Carle & Christie Clinics.

Re Stephen Kinzer's visit next month, Feb. 17th: location is now set.
And although he will have a new book, that's not the reason for his visit:

Sun 2/17, 3:00PM, Latzer Hall in University YMCA (1001 S. Wright, Champaign)
Author Stephen Kinzer will visit C-U, speaking primarily
about US policy with respect to Iran
(or maybe policy with disrespect to Iran -sl:)
