Monday, July 14. Mike Nickerson, from Lanark, Ontario, coordinator of The Sustainability Project, an educational, non-profit organization that promotes green values, is currently traveling across Canada and the U.S., facilitating meetings on "How to live on Earth as if we want to stay." On Monday, July 14, at 7:00 p.m., he will speak at First Mennonite Church of Champaign-Urbana about the threat of global warming and practical steps that can be taken to maintain sustainability of life on Planet Earth. First Mennonite Church is located at 902 W. Springfield Avenue, at the intersection of Springfield and Lincoln avenues in Urbana. The meeting, sponsored by the Peace and Justice Initiative at FMC, is free and open to the public. Mike is the author of the new book: "Life, Money & Illusion: Living on Earth as if we want to stay."
