[Peace] OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Memorial Vigil for Dr. George Tiller in Champaign-Urbana

Join friends and community to honor the life of Dr. George Tiller in a
memorial vigil at 10am this Saturday, June 6th, at the United States
Courthouse, 201 South Vine Street in Urbana.

Dr. Tiller was a women's health practitioner who provided abortion
services at his clinic in Wichita, Kansas. On May 31, 2009, he was
murdered as he served as an usher during the Sunday morning service at
his church. This gathering will coincide with his funeral in Wichita,
Kansas, and celebrate his lifelong commitment to women's reproductive
rights.

You are invited to bring candles, flowers, and other items symbolizing
women’s reproductive health care and social justice to the memorial
vigil. We will read inspiring quotes by Dr. Tiller and others who knew
him, and conclude with a moment of silence.
