FYI,  here is the final copy of the statement that was handed to all  
Champaign City Council members last night, and from which I made my  
oral 5 minute presentation.

I also attached to the statement a copy of a June 15, 2008 News- 
Gazette guest commentary that I wrote called "The Presence and  
Practice of Profiling," (relevant to the Thompson/Miller arrests),  
and a copy of the paragraph defining assault and battery in the  
Illinois statutes (relevant to the assault charge against Jesse  
Messengale.)
