Be a part of the ceremony as the monks of Deprung Loseling Monastery
culturally prepare the Union for the week long interactive live exhibit of
the Mandala sand painting.

Watch the live interactive creation of the Mandala sand painting made from
millions of colorful grains of sand by the monks of Deprung Loseling
Monastery.

The monks of Deprung Loseling Monastery will have an interactive dialogue
about the cultural arts of Tibet and their week long creation of the Mandala
sand painting.

This lecture focuses on contemporary Tibet, the invasion by Communist China
in the 1950s, the efforts of the refugees in exile to preserve their
civilization and the situation in occupied Tibet.

Come be a part of the ceremonial Mandala dismantling as the colorful sand is
swept up as a symbol of the impermanence of all that exists. Sand from the
Mandala will be shared with those present as a keepsake.
