THANKS to those who offered to speak about things going on in the world at present. I'd love to help plan such an event -- long overdue.

HOWEVER, the Peace Program on Sun, Jan 17th is staying away from politics and current events. We're looking for Beatles songs, Shakespearean speeches, Dr Seuss stories, Star Trekkers and Vampires advocating working and playing nicely together, bumper stickers that say Honk if you like Peace and Quiet. Music w/ the theme of peace or peace in title or lyrics. Ditto dances, poems, stories, original or published. You get the idea. Corny (or not) and fun, but the overall message is there (we hope). Visual art as well. All ages.

Again, if you'd like to help plan the Jan 17th event, come to my house (503 Hessel, C)  tomorrow (Sun) at 3p for the planning mtg. And if you want to participate, pls e-me yr contribution. And if you have ideas for presentation or promotion, pls e-me those especially!

Peace-loving Friends,
Several 'AWARE Films' members have started organizing a Peace Program to be held at 2p on Sun, Jan 17th (the day before the MLK holiday) at the Ch Public Library. A gratifying number of local musicians, dancers, visual artists and spoken word participants of all ages have agreed to share their talents on the theme of Peace. It promises to be a joyful, friendly, and fun afternoon.

If this is something you'd like to help plan, please come to my house (503 Hessel Blvd, C) at 3p on Sunday, January 3rd. We're looking for input (rather than grunt work), so please attend if you possibly can, or e-me yr suggestions re how best to structure and (especially) publicize the Program.

And again, if you or yr friends or family members would like to participate in the Program yrselves, please let me know that as well.
Many thanks.
