*Join us in Georgia from November 19-21 to remember the victims and to
celebrate the resistance!*

*
*The School of the Americas (SOA), in 2001 renamed the “Western Hemisphere
Institute for Security Cooperation,” is a combat training school for Latin
American soldiers, located at Fort Benning, Georgia. *
*Over its 59 years, the SOA has trained over 60,000 Latin American soldiers
in counterinsurgency techniques, sniper training, commando and psychological
warfare, military intelligence and interrogation tactics. These graduates
have consistently used their skills to wage a war against their own people.

*The repression continues so the resistance can't stop!* The reach of the
SOA continues to expand. In the past 16 months, SOA graduates orchestrated
coups in two countries, Honduras and Ecuador. While the people of Ecuador
were able to defend their democracy, the blood of martyrs continues to flow
in Honduras. It has become increasingly necessary to expand our SOA Watch
movement to all of the Americas. When we are gathered at the gates of Fort
Benning in Georgia, sister vigils against violence and militarization are
going to take place at the same time in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa
Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela and elsewhere.

*See you at the gates of Fort Benning, Georgia!
