will be in Champaign-Urbana next Friday, Feb. 18th for two events:

Kathy Kelly has traveled to Afghanistan and Pakistan several times in the
past year to learn more about the effects of U.S. warfare on those who are
bearing the brunt of our wars. With a small delegation from Voices for
Creative Nonviolence, (VCNV), she spent three weeks with Afghan Youth Peace
Volunteers, in Kabul and in Bamiyan, during December of last year.

Fri 2/18 5:30PM First Mennonite Church, Lincoln & Springfield, Urbana

Casual dinner and conversation with activist Kathy Kelly.
Voices for Creative Nonviolence has been working closely
with the Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers in search of non-military
solutions to end the war. (http://vcnv.org/speaker-bio/kathy-kelly)

She is currently trying to organize a fairly large group to visit
Afghanistan in April/May, and hopes to recruit some people from
Champaign-Urbana. If you think you might like to go,
please come and speak with her!

    Sandwiches provided (small donations welcome).
