[Favianna Rodriguez is an artist-entrepreneur who has helped foster
resurgence in political arts both locally and internationally. Named
by UTNE Magazine as a “leading visionary artist and changemaker,”
Rodriguez is renowned for her cultural media projects dealing with
social issues such as war, immigration, and globalization, as well as
for her leadership in establishing innovative institutions that
promote and engage new audiences in the arts.]

This is a film about the band, "Spirit of Goodwill" — a unique
assembly of singers and musicians who live with varying degrees of
physical and mental disability. They bond over their mutual love of
music, and their fierce drive to improve and play to ever-larger
audiences.

Art Theater
Common Ground is co-sponsoring a showing of Queen of the Sun, a
documentary that looks at the global bee crisis and its effect on the
future of our food. The showing is Thursday, January 27th, 7:30pm, at
the Art Theater in downtown Champaign. A discussion will follow the
movie, and there will be door prizes...
The movie starts at 7:30, but suspect it will be a full house
